Make the world go round

Inland Empire Crafters

I know there are crafty people out there, the internet is (thankfully) overflowing with them. I am interested in meeting local crafters to build a network of like minds for fun, companionship and more. I don’t have any formal plans at this point, it’s just something that’s rolling around in my brain.

Some ideas I’ve had so far include:

  • hosting a craft social – an event where we all bring our current works in progress to a central location. Once there we’ll have a chance to craft while meeting other crafters.
  • stash busting swaps – did you buy a ton of yarn/fabric/paper/etc. and it’s just sitting in your closet taking up space – swap it with someone else who may have just what you need to finish that scrapbook/quilt/blanket!
  • guest bloggers – do you have a blog? would you like to build your reader base being a guest blogger, let’s get people connected!
  • craft swaps – like a secret santa, but craft style!
  • craft fairs – the more crafters at an event the more people will come in, right?
  • instructional/how-to events – for other crafters, for the community, let’s share our love of what we do!

Have I peaked your interest?

Do you have other ideas?

If you are in the Inland Empire in Southern California – or if you’re willing to drive out to Redlands, please post a comment below, or send me an email at [jenn] dot [hickok] at [gmail] dot [com] and let me know if you’d like to be included, and let’s hook up!

If you have a blog or online shop, post on Facebook or on Twitter, feel free to include any ways to reach you and share your crafts. Please make sure to leave a way to contact you back!

I look forward to meeting and crafting with you!

Jenn
